Privacy Policy

Porch Pile is a product of Jen Built It LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it short because we collect little.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Your content: the products, videos, brand deals, coupons, and income figures you add to the app. This is yours; we process it only to provide the service. Your income data is never used for marketing or shared with anyone.
• Technical basics: standard server logs (IP, timestamp) needed to run the service securely and prevent abuse.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• We do not use your income or content data for advertising.
• We do not add you to a marketing newsletter from this app.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare (hosting, database, edge security, the "I'm human" check on signup, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or local storage and doesn't fingerprint visitors), Resend (transactional email such as verification and password-reset messages), and, for paid subscriptions, Stripe (payment processing). These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service.

Two internal notifications go to n8n, an automation server Jen Built It runs at n8n.jen8nflows.cloud. When you sign up, it receives your email address so Jen can see that a new account was created; nothing is added to any list. If you press Send on the in-app Feedback button, your message, the page you were on, your browser's user-agent string and, only if you typed it in, your email address are stored in Jen's feedback table and emailed to Jen so she can follow up. Nothing is sent unless you press Send.

If you came to Porch Pile through an affiliate's referral link and then buy Pro, the referral code, the amount paid, the Stripe payment IDs, and your billing email are sent to the Jen Built It affiliate program at jenbuiltit.com so the affiliate can be credited for the sale.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you logged in (an HttpOnly session cookie). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

The app also saves two small items in your browser's local storage. Both are needed for the app to work the way you'd expect, and neither is sent anywhere unless noted:

• pp_aff_ref: the referral code from an affiliate link, if you arrived through one. It's passed to Stripe when you buy Pro so the right affiliate gets credit, and it's removed once your upgrade goes through. A companion key, pp_aff_ref_at, records when you clicked, and both are dropped 60 days after your last affiliate link click.
• pp_tour_done: remembers that you've finished or skipped the welcome tour, so it doesn't show again.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Porch Pile doesn't use advertising or tracking tools that follow you across other websites, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends that signal. We don't let any third party collect information about your activity on Porch Pile to track you across other sites over time.

Children

Porch Pile isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email privacy@jenbuiltit.com and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can export all of your data at any time from your account, and you can permanently delete your account and your data from within the app (see Data retention below for the payment records we keep). If you're in the EEA/UK or California, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data. Contact us to exercise them. See also our Do Not Sell or Share page.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and everything you added to the app (products, videos, brand deals, coupons, income figures, badges, and imports) are hard-deleted from our database.

One exception: if you ever paid for Pro, we keep a record of each payment event for tax and accounting. Each record holds an internal account ID, the Stripe event ID, the type of event (for example, a paid or failed invoice), the amount, the currency, and the date. It doesn't include your email address or your app content. Stripe also keeps its own record of your payments under its own privacy policy.

Amazon

Porch Pile is an independent tool for creators. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Amazon. We never ask for your Amazon credentials and never access your Amazon account.

Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
